Foolish Street |The Conclusion

This is the conclusion part of " Foolish Street"

Later that evening the businessman came to know of this other person who had made fool of his other clever employee. He was worried. Who were these men, making the brightest employee of mine looking stupid for them? He decided to go around the street in disguise to try and catch the people who are trying to fool his employees as he walked near the street end, he found a girl sitting there with a heap of oranges, waiting for someone to buy them. The fruit seller had chosen the loneliest spot, so the businessman was suspicious.

‘Why are you selling your fruits here?’ he asked.

The fruit seller was Kusuma. She pretended to look nervously around and answered in a whisper, ‘Sir, I have heard some clever cheats are roaming around the street wanting to cheat shopkeepers like us and one of the leading businessmen in the street. I have heard one will be walking by this way soon, so I am waiting here hoping to catch him and deliver him to the businessman so that he may give some reward.’

The business was surprised that this girl knew all about the clever gang of cheats.

‘Have you seen him before?’

‘Yes, sir. I know the gang. The person who is coming today is the leader of the gang.’

‘What does he look like?’He looks like a very rich man

‘Is there any way I can see him?’ the business asked excitedly.‘Sir, the best way is to hide.

As soon as he comes, I will whistle, and you can see him.’

But at that spot, there is nothing to hide if he stays inside any house he may not able to catch him. Then the fruit seller held out a sack. ‘Hide in this, sir,’ he suggested. ‘I will keep you next to me, and anyone will think it is a sack of oranges.

The businessman agreed and hopped into the sack. Quickly Kusuma tied it and walked away, laughing. The business soon realized he had been tricked. But he was tied in the sack and could do nothing. Many hours later, when his employees came looking for him to pay daily revenue, he managed to wriggle around in the sack and attract their attention. How embarrassed he was, to be set free by one of his employee's

He also knew now that he and the Employees were not as clever as he loved to boast. He realized his mistake.

The businessman  old teacher came to his house  and explained how his three students had tricked everyone. Rishi, Madhu and Kusuma apologized for their actions. And the business started  to treat his employees and needy people  with wisdom and humility.
