Who is your Best Friend?

Once there was a little boy Kamal who wasn't very friendly but popular in his class. He wasn't friends with everyone but some people in his class. There were some People who didn't like the popularity of kamal .

He was very kind and would always be busy with his works and he was ready to help anyone . He used to felt very bad that he don't had so many friends at school and in his neighborhood.

On Friendship day, their class organized an event, in which everyone had to make three presents and give them to their best friends. Kamal was very sad for coming friendship day and he wasn't expecting gifts from his friends.

However, when all presents were shared among classmates. He was only one who hadn’t received any present.

He felt terrible and cried a lot. He thought to himself that how is it possible. He had made so much effort to be friends with everyone and making so many friends but in end no one think of his as one of their best friend.

Everyone came and tried to console him for a while but each one only stayed for a short time before leaving. This was exactly what kamal had done so many times to others.

On that day when he got home. Seeing his sad face, When her mother asked her reason for his sadness, he questioned, “Where can i find true friends and why I'm not able to make friendship with anyone?”

Mother was surprised at his question. When mother inquired kamal told him about day in school.

His mother consoled his and said, “You cannot buy friends with a smile or a few good words. If you really want true friends, you will have to give them real time and affection. For a true friend you must always be available, in good times and bad.”

Kamal replied, “But i want to be friends with everyone..!!”

His mother consoled him and replied, “My dear, you are a lovely boy but You can’t be a close friend to everybody. There just isn’t enough time to be available for everyone, so it’s only possible to have a few true friends. The others will by playmates or acquaintances but they won’t be close friends.”

Hearing this Kamal realized that he was a good companion and acquaintance but he had not been a true friend to anyone. he had tried not to argue with anyone, he had tried to pay attention to everyone but now he had found out that that was not enough to create true friendship.

Kamal decided to change his ways and thought that how he could make true friends, Just thinking about that he realized that his mother was always willing to help him, he put up with all of kamal dislikes and problems, she always forgave him, he loved her a great deal.

Kamal smiled from ear to ear, realizing that he already had the best friend anyone could ever want.
